Not able to setup a extractor with the command "cogex init"

Hello!I tried to setup a simple cogex extractor, but get an error that is not letting me proceed following the course. Data Modeling - aggregate instances

I am using the Python SDK endpoint to aggregate instances and passing an advanced Filter to the filter argument, i.e.:client.data_modeling.instances.aggregate(…, filter = Filter(...))But Nested filtering is not supported. It seems like the aggregate function only works on flat tables.So I am considering to create a solution data model with only flat tables. I am considering to split up the data over multiple containers in order to support the number of indexes I would like to have. My question is whether splitting up over multiple containers negatively affect performance at query time and how does this compare to trying to limit the number of indexes instead?

Errors in Fusion calculations

There seems to be a bug in Fusion when it comes to rounding up numbers.The shortened numbers in the below examples should not have a + at the end, since that would implicit a higher number than 137K, but the actual number is lower than 137K

3D Model Contextualization

I have loaded a 3D model but in the documentation, I only see a manual way to contextualize the 3D model (link an object in the model to an asset). I converted our model to NWD, imported and found the name of the asset appears in cognite.client.data_classes.three_d.ThreeDNode. So I pulled out the API and contextualized the 3D model with python. My question: is an automated method to contextualizing the model not provided? If it is not provided, does anyone care to share how they are contextualizing the model.

Power BI Dataflow Doesn't Retrieve Timeseries Data Correctly from CDF

Hi! I’m trying to create a Power BI Dataflow using CDF timeseries data. The same data is retrieved absolutely fine when using Power BI Desktop and Power Query inside the Power BI Desktop app, but when I try to use exactly the same query as a Dataflow instead, there is a warning about: “The query “Timeseries” contains columns with complex types that cannot be loaded. Some data is retrieved, but it’s incomplete with big parts of it missing. Looks like the CDF connector is not able to retrieve the data correctly when a Dataflow is used instead of a normal Power BI Desktop dataset. Is there a way to make Dataflow also compatible with the CDF connector?

Are there any documented use cases or papers on integrating MLflow with Cognite, or is it something we need to implement ourselves?For example, if we aim to seamlessly integrate the MLflow UI with Cognite to evaluate and select the top-performing models, we could leverage SQLite, which operates on the local file system (e.g., mlruns.db) and provides a built-in client, sqlite3. However, our preference is to seamlessly integrate it with Cognite.

Unable to deploy Cognite Function using custom library

Hi,I need to use a custom python library from a private repository in Cognite Function  I have referred the following document - https://docs.cognite.com/de/cdf/functions/ In requirements.txt have added --index-url with the basic HTTPS authentication referring private repository URL with credentials.However when I am deploying the functions its not deploying and failing with the following error: Function Id 3485252813249865 Note: I have tested this locally its running fineCould you please help with this?

Data Model Read-Only Editor

I am trying to create a Data Model in the UI. I can click ‘create data model’, name it, and land on the page with the editor and the pre commented pump/facility/documenation example. However I am not able to edit the graphql as anytime I try to edit in the editor I am told that I ‘cannot edit in read-only editor. Where is the toggle to disable the read-only editor?

Retreiving a list of RAW table columns and their datatype through the Python SDK

HiFor a use case I am working on I need to retrieve information about the raw tables in our environment. What I need to do is that i need to retrieve the name of each of the  columns and the datatypes of the columns for every single raw table we have in our environment. I have looked through the python SDK docs, but have not been able to find out how to do this. I noticed that it is possible to do a preview of a transformation through the SDK and get a schema out this way, however this feels a bit too “hacky” and is also very time consuming and inefficient. Does anyone have any idea of how I can get what I need?ThanksSebastian

Multiple Security categories for a single file

On behalf of Celanese, I’d like to understand if adding more than one Security Category to a single file or timeseries is supported by the CDF platform and APIs. Also, can it be confirmed that if a certain file is under two categories, only users that are capable of seeing both categories will be able to see it? Thanks!

(Please forgive the erroneous posting of this under Academy Discussions)Doing the ‘hands-on’ for Data Engineer Basics - “Learn to Use the Cognite Python SDK “ Course."I have done the following:Make a dataframe from reading from a csv file: One of the columns in the csv file is ‘region’. The 5 different values in the region column are  When the above code is run, the  following appears on the screen: Q1. Does this mean pandas has interpreted the region “None” as “nan”? If so that would explain why the following code throws “ValueError: Out of range float values are not JSON compliant. Make sure your data does not contain NaN(s) or +/- Inf!”  I would value your guidance as I have not worked with pandas() much at all.Thank you,Doug  pandas

Doing the ‘hands-on’ for Data Engineer Basics - “Learn to Use the Cognite Python SDK “ Course."I am down to adding events to CDF from  events.csv.I noted that the dataframe df has some entries :NaN” wherever the csv has a blank.Then,However, creating events in CDF fails:the error is: Next, I replace all the csv blank entries with text “blank”, and read into a dataframe. Now the latter does not have any “NaN” values. This throws the same exception when creating events in CDF.If someone can kindly assist, I would be very grateful.Thank you,Doug
