Impact 2024: The Industrial Data and AI Conference for and by Users | Nominate Speakers Now for a Ch...
Hi Ibrahim, All the points are excellent and part of our roadmap during this year. Thank you for sharing the details and context. A few solutions on the above items, that are coming soon, in the next releases (February and April) are: Annotations will be removed and not visible anymore under Events. For scans we will need to find another solution. Sorting based on frequency and alphabetically in the filtering menu, including for the dataset filter. Organizing the 3D pageWe are looking into a series of improvements of the filtering menu, would be great to detail them together and get more insights into what would be relevant to have here.Thank you,Andreea.
Hi @Torgrim Aas, Will look into it and add it to our short term development plan. Thank you,Andreea.
Hi @eashwar11 , Thank you for your request. We have this feature in our roadmap for H1 2023. Will let you know as soon as it’s ready. Best,Andreea.
Hi Richard, Thank you for the request. Bringing a map search and navigation in Data Explorer, Fusion UI, is actually part of our roadmap for H1 2023. We would like to bring a similar experience as we have today in Discover. We will reach out when we are closer to the implementation. Best,Andreea.
Just a small clarification from my side. The search doesn’t work only with fuzzy logic, there is prefix search as well, which means that you can search for “CL-VAM*” without adding the “*”. But we are working on making it more intuitive and to show when the results are based on fuzziness and when are based on prefix search.
Hi Adam,Thank you for your request and the examples provided. This feature is very needed and we want to bring it to CDF. It’s on our roadmap and the team will start working on it at the beginning of next year. Best regards,Andreea.
Hi Philippe, Thank you for the request. We will look into it. Though this might not be possible atm on short term and rather on medium-longer term with FDM.But we can do some changes to the default so it better suits you. Best regards,Andreea.
Hi Adam, Thank you for the suggestion! Will look into it.Best,Andreea.
Hi Ibrahim,The changes are saved based on user configuration. So each user needs to do their own configuration. This is just a first feature for enabling configuration. Part of our 2023 roadmap is to add more configurability options and user identity. Thank you,Andreea.
Hi Adam, Happy to announce that the issues are solved. Please take a look and let us know if everything is as expected or you encounter other issues.Thank you,Andreea.
Hi Philippe,In today’s Cognite Data Fusion release, happy to share that we have released in Data Explorer the following features from your request:adding/removing columns select what attribute a column displays (metadata or native) Sort the table by one or more columns (available upon request) Saving the current selection of column between sessionsThe remaining items will be taken into development for the next release (February). Best,Andreea.
Hi Dinesh, Thank you for submitting the request. It’s not something that we are planning in the short term, but would like to look into it. Could you please give some examples on how would you use this functionality? For which data types you would expect to have hyperlinks and maybe some examples of metadata fields where this would be helpful. Thank you,Andreea.
Hi Ibrahim, Thank you for your feedback. On the short term we are improving our current searchability with metadata fields, so soon it should be easier to slice and dice the data based on metadata fields. Though this will not entirely improve the experience and we want to make it very easy and support the example you have provided. Our better solution is going to be the new way of modelling data with flexible data modelling, which will remove the hurdles with using metadata. In the meantime another way of slicing and dicing the data, to have a more reporting capability we offer through the CDF connector when using PBI and Grafana. But from what I know you use Tableau, and atm we don’t have a connector for Tableau. We'd love to better understand what metadata fields you and other community members usually need and use. Then, when we have more progress on the metadata search improvements, we'll share the new capabilities.Thank you,Andreea.
Hi Philippe, Thank you for the feedback.I will add the request to our roadmap and will be part of the development for the next release. Thanks,Andreea.
Thank you for the suggestion! This can be something that we can consider on our roadmap, for future development. Thanks,Andreea.
Hi Philippe, Thank you for the feedback. The team is working on redesigning the table view and adding new features. As first iteration we are looking into: Adding/removing columns Filter the table by one or more columns content with “=” Sort the table by one or more columnsAs we iterate will bring more capabilities as you suggested. Thank you,Andreea
Hi Adam,We will look into this issue. Thank you,Andreea.
Hi Adam, Sorry for the unpleasant scrolling. The team is looking into solving this issue. Will let you know as soon as we have a solution in place. Thanks,Andreea.
Hi Edvard, Thank you for your feedback. We are considering this option and it’s part of our short term roadmap. We will let you know when the option is under development. Best,Andreea.
Hi Robert, Thank you for the details and happy to join your check in, just send me an invite. Best,Andreea.
Hi Robert, Happy to hear that you are expanding the use of Functions. Would love to hear how are you using Cognite Functions on your Use Cases. As for your question, can you please give us more details? Are you referring on being able to use private packages? If so, we have this request on our roadmap, at the moment is marked with lower priority as it hasn’t been too much requested. But definitely we will take your request into account and revisit the roadmap and come back to you when I have more details to share. Thank you,Andreea.
