As a variant of this Use Case, we use Checklists to document security line walks across the site. The Waypoints are created as ‘assets’ so that they can be identified in 2D location plans and create checklist items to collect responses concerning checks at these locations. It would be useful to allow a QR code to be created which is placed at the waypoint such that when scanned, it opens the respective checklist item allowing the security guard to enter responses.
@Tor Erik Kvisle this is related to a discussion you had with Gary Goh recently
@Marius Biermann The objective is to avoid having to use two systems to accomplish detailed planning : SAP & MAINTAIN. SAP remains the ‘source of truth’ for much of the data, but detailed planning should happen in MAINTAIN where other contextualized information is available. The Notification - Work Order creation - detailed planning /scheduling - execution - recording of time spent & materials used workflow needs careful consideration due to a lot of master data residing in SAP which influences ‘what planning can be done in which system’ unless a lot of master data is synced between systems. Perhaps a general philosophy needs to be defined as a first step to define the broad split in functionality between SAP & MAINTAIN.
@Marius Biermann This request concerns only a button on the Maintain interface for easy access to 2D plot plans, flow diagrams, P&ID’s etc that contain contextualized annotations relevant to the ASSET within the ACTIVITY in question. The 3D button we assume zooms to an asset identified in a 3D Model. We understand that only works for 3D CAD models at present, since similar identification in point cloud models is not yet available. In brown field sites where a 3D CAD model doesn’t exist, 2D location plans & other 2D drawings are available & can be annotated. The objective is a direct way to;Select an activity ‘show me all 2D drawings that this asset is identified in’ CANVAS doesn’t do this. An indirect way of doing it is;Click on an activity and a detail window pops up Select the ASSET button on detail window Click on 2D button : get a list of all documents. Not able to filter based on document types.
@Liv Hagen @Kristoffer Knudsen Yes, this meets the needs. This ‘last change’ information should be available in the exported PDF report in the case we need to incorporate the results of the checklist into official records.
Thank you @Kristoffer Knudsen for clarification request.A description field provides an opportunity to provide guidance or instructions on what to do or how to perform a Task, such as an extract from an SOP, or some guidance as to what to look for. This would be text that is too long to place in the Task Name field. For example, in a Security round, a task could be “Area security”. What does this mean? Each of the required checks could be made a separate Task within a Group; All happen at the same Waypoint (dummy Asset). This asset is linked at the Task level, not at the Group level (since the result is stored & linked to the asset : understood) No explanation possible for specifics of what to look for in each case Pro = positive indication that each check was done Negative = lot of Task items & button presses : there are many Waypoints Alternative could be to use the Description field to list what to look for, covered by only one Task Currently, Checklists allow adding a Note to
Old Infield had this funtion;Group Checklists by Discipline
The request is to have Cognite assess the suggested third party connectors & advise if they work correctly with CDF. If so, it would potentially avoid the need for Cognite to develop such a connector.
This functionality is also requested by other users. Ref: Cognite PowerBI: Need Direct Query and Live Streaming Capability
