Hi @esgrim thanks for the insight. I would like to ask you a question, when I read your message I interpret that you are seeking one way connection, I mean from CDF to ArcGIS? or would you need to bring data from ArcGIS to CDF?Currently creating a connector CDF - ArcGIS is not part of the Cognite roadmap, however it is very important for us to understand the need and desired workflows in case a decision to support this 3rd party connection is taken. Thanks in advanced for all the information you can provide. Best regardsElka
Thank you for the input Espen! FYI @gedi and @Thomas Sjølshagen in case you could provide some information about the experimental work we have done around MVT standard to visualized data in ArcGIS from CDF?
Hi Espen, thanks for your request. Currently we are evaluating the possibility to add another SDK to support the Seismic API.Thanks and regardsElka
Hi @Tim Hudson , thanks for reaching out. It seems we can help you to to import data from CDF to MS SQL Server. However this could be solved by creating a custom solution. I will leave @Abul Fahimuddin to engage with you and/or @esgrim in further discussions on how to proceed. Best regardsElka
Hi @esgrim , based on other requests we had we decided to provide an SDK that facilitates using our gRPC interface from javascript and typescript web pages. The SDK is geared towards web front-end development but can also be used for backend Node.js applications. Please let me know if you would be interested in testing this new SDK, it is currently available only under request. Thanks and RegardsElka
Hi @Erling Johannessen thanks for testing the MQTT extractor. This is a bug in the UI that we will address as soon as possible (I already created an internal ticket for following up). In case you are using the API directly, it is possible to remove the “target type” and continue the testing. Best RegardsElka
Hi @Taylor Zwick Replicator is not a product but an open source in which some members of the Global Delivery team had contributed in the past. It is not possible to effectively add extractor pipeline functionality to it. Therefore this ticket is won’t do from Product side.I know the Global Delivery team has been considering the idea to add a service for replication, but I will let them to provide more information in that regards. @Christian Flasshoff @Gaetan Helness is there anything you would like to add here? Thanks and regardsElka
Hi @Viraj Dhanusha thanks for the request. After conducting an internal review, we couldn't locate any records of this feature being part of the Entity Matching UI previously. Nevertheless, we acknowledge the merit of this request, and that's precisely why we've chosen to incorporate it into our long-term roadmap. Thanks and regardsElka
Hello spobri1, Thank you for your request. I hope the workaround Ola provided addressed your short-term challenge. While we understand that there's room for improvement in this workflow, it's not currently within our immediate focus. We've included this in our long-term roadmap for future consideration.Once again, thank you for your valuable input.Best regards,Elka
Hi @crgomez13 thanks for your insight. We understand the limitation and we've decided to include this in our long-term roadmap for future consideration. Thanks and regardsElka
Hi @ibrahim.alsyed thanks for request. Could you please provide more information about which type of files are you interested in? Thanks and regardsElka
Hi @andrelcalves thanks for your request. Currently, we don't have plans to make PI extractors open source. Could you please share your reasons or use case for this request? Thanks and regards Elka
Hi @Yanzhu Yu Thank you for reaching out! To better address your request, I'd like to provide some clarification on the authentication process for the DB extractor. The DB extractor itself doesn't require authentication. Instead, it follows a two-step authentication process:Authentication Towards CDF:The extractor authenticates with Cloud Data Fusion (CDF), which already utilizes OpenID/OAuth2 for secure authentication.Authentication Towards DB Sources:Authentication towards the individual database sources varies. Different sources may employ specific authentication methods tailored to their requirements. To provide you with more accurate assistance, could you please share additional insights or details about the specific aspect of authentication you're inquiring about? Understanding your requirements in more detail will enable us to offer a more targeted and helpful response.Looking forward to your response!Best regardsElka
Dear @Saini Neha Thank you for your suggestion regarding multiprocessing for the FileShare Extractor. After careful consideration, we regret to inform you that we will not be working on this specific request. The current design and requirements of the File Extractor do not align with the benefits that multiprocessing would provide in this context. Introducing parallel processing for multiple file uploads may not result in a significant performance improvement due to network bandwidth limitations and the nature of the background problem. We appreciate your understanding and encourage you to reach out if you have any other concerns or feature requests that we may be able to address in the future. Our development efforts are focused on features that align more closely with optimizing the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the File Extractor in various scenarios. Thank you for your continued support.Best RegardsElka
Dear @Harsha I appreciate your feature request and your continued engagement with our platform. Currently, our primary focus is on ensuring the scalability of our product, particularly with regards to SAP writeback functionalities. our request for enhancements to the SAP extractor has been duly noted, and we are adding it to our backlog for future consideration.Thank you for your support and understanding in this matter.Best regards,Elka
Hi @dinesh.makked thanks for your feedback. I am a bit puzzle by your feature request, given that the option to filter is already part of the extractor. It is referred in the documentation under the Endpoints as: I wonder if there is anything else you are referring to? If yes, it would be very beneficial to get more details. Thanks and RegardsElkafilter Enter the filter query string. The $filter system query option allows clients to filter a collection of resources from the target SAP OData endpoint. This is an optional parameter.
Hi @dinesh.makked , very happy to hear we are already covering the request in the product. Please do not hesitate to reached out if you have any other request. Thanks and regadsElka
Hi @Harsha , thank you for reaching out regarding this enhancement request. We appreciate your feedback and would like to gain a deeper understanding of your requirements. Just to clarify, while we don't have a dedicated SharePoint extractor, our File extractor does have the capability to connect to various source systems, including SharePoint. Regarding your request for CRUD operations, specifically the ability to Create, Read, Update, and Delete data, are you also expecting writeback functionality from CDF to SharePoint? Understanding your expectations regarding writeback functionality is crucial for us to assess the feasibility of implementing this feature. If you could provide an example of how you envision the workflow that would be very valuable for us. Looking forward to hearing from you, Best regardsElka
Hi @adeel, thanks for your request. In the upcoming April release, there are several improvements to the File extractor. Some of the improvements includes the specification of a full based URL for SharePoint which provides support for the request in this ticket.Documentation will be updated, providing an example of how to set it up. Thanks and regardsElka
We've recently included the capability to convert DWG files to PDF in our roadmap, aiming to offer a smoother workflow for our users. However, it's important to note that direct visualization of DWG files within CDF is not currently included in our roadmap.
Dear @Harshita Sai thanks for your inputs. In order for me and my team to understand the request and the effort, could you please elaborate a bit more on which dynamic field you have in mind? Looking forward to hearing from you, Best regardsElka
Hi @Harsha, Thank you for sharing your product ideas with us! Hello @Harsha ,Thank you for reaching out to us with your suggestion regarding SAP T-codes.We truly appreciate your interest in improving our system. However, after careful consideration and analysis of our current strategy, we've determined that developing T-codes is not aligned with our current direction.SAP T-codes indeed play a significant role in utilizing SAP resources and system operations. However, it's worth noting that our approach to data extraction is more aligned with modern practices. Our extractor was specifically designed to fetch data from SAP at the entity level, offering a more efficient and streamlined process compared to traditional T-code usage. We understand that this may not be the response you were hoping for, but please know that we value your input and suggestions. If you have any other ideas or feedback that you'd like to share, we're all ears!Once again, thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts with us. We appreciate your understanding.Best regar
Hello,Thanks for reaching out!It sounds like you're working with different methods of connecting to the database, and you've hit a roadblock with authentication using the native PostgreSQL provider. With ODBC, you have the flexibility to configure the connection string to utilize various authentication methods supported by Microsoft's ODBC driver.Unfortunately, with the native PostgreSQL provider, the extractor package doesn't currently support using additional IDs for authentication to the database. If there's anything specific you need help with or any further questions you have, please don't hesitate to let us know. We're here to assist you in any way we can!If not, I'll go ahead and close this ticket. Your feedback is greatly appreciated!Best regards,Elka
