I would like to be able to create Cognite functions (and transformations) schedules in a local timezone. Right now, I can only specify the time for triggering a function in UTC. There are cases when daylight savings time changes the working hours and thus affects the set-up. It would be useful to have the ability to run the function in a local timezone.

Hi @ishita1983, thanks for submitting this product idea. Agree this would be a useful feature and remove the need for updating schedules at the right time or implementing workarounds to handle it more permanently.

We’re considering starting by supporting this for schedules on data workflows. If you orchestrate your Functions and Transformations through a workflow, you would then be able to trigger them on a timezone-aware schedule.

Any thoughts on this solution?

Hi @ishita1983, this is now supported through data workflow schedules, see this parameter in the API spec.

Data workflows will increasingly become the main way to schedule and orchestrate jobs like transformations, functions, etc. so we are not planning to implement timezone support for these services individually.
