Update Assignees on created Checklists

Related products: InField

Washington Works mentioned the importance to update the Assignees of created Checklists. As they could have changes on the Operators Units and Locations, it is necessary to have the flexibility to change the Assignees on the Templates and update automatically on the Checklists. I've ran some tests myself and InField doesn't update, requiring accessing the Template itself, adding the new assignee manually and creating a new Checklist every time that something change on the assignees. It is worth mentioning that Washington has a big number of recurrent Checklists, and they need to have the minimum maintenance on the Templates(It will be more than 600).

Hi Bruno.

Thank you very much for this proposal for improvement. We will consider it for implementation in Infield.

Hi @Bruno Muniz Nicacio - thanks for this feedback.

I assume you are aware that you can re-assign existing checklists from the “Overview” page? See my attached image. From your comment on the amount of checklists that needs to be re-assigned is it correct to assume that you’re looking for a way to bulk re-assign existing checklists?

Hi, Kristoffer!

Not only bulk, but an integration between the Assign on Templates and Checklists. I believe that if we update the Assignees, the system should reflects on the Checklists that is not Done yet.

Hmm, not sure if I agree with you here @Bruno Muniz Nicacio

Changes to assignees on a Template shouldn’t be reflected in already existing checklists? What if there is a checklist “in progress” that suddenly changes assignees, wouldn’t that be a data integrity issue?

In my opinion you should be able to make bulk changes on existing checklists, then you say “yes, I actually want to change assignees on all these checklists” and you should be able to make assignee changes on a Template, which would then be reflected on all new checklists.

What about the checklists that has recurrency tasks, how this would be applied in this cases?

Hmm, not sure if I follow @Bruno Muniz Nicacio - recurrence shouldn’t be impacted by this? If you have a Template with scheduled tasks and you change the “assignees” all new checklists will have new “assignees”. However, if you choose to bulk change existing checklists only those will have new “assignees”.
