In our testing we have found that we have the need to delete large amounts of data quickly. The standard method of deleting data is a soft style delete which can leaved large amounts of data still around which as we understand would have to be filtered out of any queries that are run against the data.. We would like functionality similar to a truncate function to be implemented to quickly remove data from the instance. We understand this would be unrecoverable, but that is fine for what we are needing to do.

As mentioned in the support ticket on the topic, this is something we’re aware of as a request but do not currently have the capacity to deliver. We will evaluate your this insight/need in the context of developer improvements we’re considering in an upcoming release.

Having reviewed the request and considered the schedule for adding a hard delete option to the service, we realize it will be a while before we can add it from our backlog (6+ months right now). As a result, I’m going to park this idea but will revisit it over the next 2 quarters and reassess when we can include it in our roadmap for delivery.
