Learn Cognite Reveal

I work cognite reveal 3d images  in angular v12.1.1.  I using NPM  npm i @cognite/reveal@3.3.0 ,  @cognite/sdk@7.14.0 and  @cognite/potree-core@1.5.2,  Cognite reveal AxisViewTool is not working. error: (Module '"@cognite/reveal"' has no exported member 'AxisViewTool'.)

Error running the Cognite replicator with Option 5

Client id for the Python-SDK

Hello,I have a Python project that uses publicdata project of Open Industrial Data. Charts feature requests

Hi,Some feature requests I would like to see in Charts:-Function like pandas where. We have sensors with for instance zero point error. In many calculations it can be useful to set values bellow a point to zero to avoid larger errors to sum up over time.-When Charts and AIR are integrated it would be nice to have more logic and comparing functions. For instance to set an alarm if only certain conditions are met.-Writing own python code in a function block would have been nice, but I guess that could be a problem with the security?-Text box to comment in the function blocks would be nice.-Xy-plot and table output would be nice. If export to Grafana is fixed the function is available there.-Custom units or more default units in calculations.

Is it possible to run Cognite Spark Data Source locally?

I am doing some ETL jobs in Azure Databricks and have successfully managed to use Cognite’s Spark Data Source to read and write time-series, datapoints etc from and to CDF. I know that databricks itself is a cloud platform. However, it is interesting for me to be able to run some or all of the jobs locally during development phase. I wonder if it is still possible to somehow test-run Spark jobs locally? The configuration does not seem to be trivial.  I played a little bit with PySpark, and I was able to run it on my Mac but I could not create a connection to “cognite.spark.v1” to read or write data. Do you know if it is possible to perform such operation? If not, what would you suggest?

How to overcome metadata key length and max keys limitation

On serveral occations we have encountered limitations in metadata key length, most frequently when flattening JSON-formatted strings from our event stream data source systems. When the source system presents nested structure of as many as 4 levels we frequently encounter metadata keys that require more than 128 bytes. Up to now we have “solved” the issue by abbreviating the metadatakeys at the price of higher maintenance cost of the code and more importantly, that end-users get the perception that we have transformed the data or even dont understand what it represents. We now consider moving towards a solution where we simply put the entire JSON-formatted string into one single metadata value field, and leave to front-end teams and end users to flatten the structure. We have a similar issue with max number of metadata keys for timesseries (16). Question 1) Could you please suggest other, better options for handling these metadata limitations? Question 2) Will templates come to the resc

Desire to see variations and not smoothed values (source vs charts)

Enter this on behalf of Celanese customer:Hey Team, I tried to plot some charts and do some calculations on Cognite. The Cognite charts show smoothed out values, so much so that the hiccups in the trends that are important to our work are not visible. As Ron pointed out, the Cognite charts hide the amount of variation in Charts, especially in the ones covering long durations, so that the user lose important information about these variables. The following two charts are from Cognite and PI for the same two tags covering the same period. The large rise and fall in the middle of the PI chart for both variables are not visible on the Cognite chart.Is there a way to stop it from smoothing?

Unable to use Transformations to query for a single day

Error when run a transformation from the course.

i need support for the course Python SDK Transformations.Im running the comands from notebook that was given in git and a stoped on:result = client.transformations.run(asset_transformation.id, wait=False)The error resulted is :CogniteAPIError: Invalid source/destination credentials: Could not authenticate with the OIDC credentials. Please check your credentials. | code: 403 | X-Request-ID: 78e0e54a-a3ca-9bc4-b2f5-e303ed6a7207iv checked the authentication process and i can perform all task like search list add datasets assets and everything but i cant run the transformation.Any one knows how to solve it ?i have the same problen in the UI

Can the signals of warnings, alarms, and failures be used to tag anomalies and/or failures in the compressor?

There are some signals that in the names or the description have the words: alarm, warning, or fault. E.G. There is this alarm signal, (in red ) that I’m comparing with one of the vibration signals.  And the alarm seems to be on when the vibrations are close to 0 and the Compressor is off. I’m plotting the label as a combination of the name and the description, but the externalId of the alarm is: pi:160268In most cases that alarm is on when the compressor is off, except in this case, Where I do not see any problem with the vibration signal: There are these other two alarms, from the plots: one is on when the compressor is off and the other one when it is starting up. But I do not see any strange behavior in the signal when they occur. Besides the alarms, I’ve also looked into some of the fault signals but those seem to be on for very long times: Is there another way to use the alarm and fault signals to label anomalies or failures? I don’t know if using the vibration signals is the bes

Feedback and feature requests for Asset Data Insight (and Cognite Charts)

Asset Data Insight (ADI) looks to be a very promising analysis tool. I realize it is in beta, but I want to share a couple of my impressions from using it over the last couple of days. Perhaps these suggestions can make it to a list of features to be implemented for the coming releases.I am a bit confused about the future development of ADI and Cognite Charts. There is clear overlap in functionality, and yet key features in ADI are not present in Charts, and vice versa. Will one take over for the other? Will they coexist? If one will be deprecated in the future, my feedback still is relevant for the one that survives.#1 Make all Chart functionality available in ADI.The calculation node editor is especially useful, but the interface for customizing how toe visualization looks is better in Charts than in ADI. #2 Improve the Events layerOverlaying events, such as maintenance history, on key time series can be very useful.
