You can load data from Cognite Data Fusion (CDF) into Microsoft Power Apps, where you can build custom apps for your business needs. This article explains how to create and connect a custom Power Apps connector with the Cognite API and build a canvas app. Before you startTo perform the steps below, you need to be an administrator of Azure AD. On November 23rd, we upgraded Cognite Functions to use a newer runtime version on Azure, and Azure recently deprecated the older runtime version. Consequently, we advise users to recreate functions dating from November 22nd or earlier, as newly created functions will automatically use the newer runtime.Note: Functions dating from November 22nd or earlier will continue to work, but Microsoft will not continue support with new features, security patches, and performance optimizations for those functions.
As of September 1st, 2023, it will no longer be possible to create Cognite Functions running on Python 3.7 on either Azure or GCP projects. Cognite Functions already running on Python 3.7 will continue to work, but since Microsoft will no longer provide updates or support for Python 3.7 after September 30th, we advise users having Cognite Functions running on Python 3.7 to redeploy these functions to Python 3.8 (default) or later. This is done by deleting and recreating the functions in question, as exemplified in the snippet below using the Python SDK.# Delete the existing functionclient.functions.delete(id=1234)# Recreate function, optionally with a version higher than the default of 3.8.# Assuming here that the function is created from a folderclient.functions.create( name="my-function", external_id="my-function", folder="path/to/source/code", runtime="py38")
Microsoft Sustainability Manager(MSM) is a service which answers organizations needs of building insights they need to manage their environmental footprint, embed sustainability through their organization and value chain, and create new value in a changing landscape. Building insights on the tool with CDF as source will give added advantage to Cognite’s customers in accelerating sustainability progress and business growth by bringing together a set of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) capabilities. The connector available in MSM is limited and the one which can be used for connecting to CDF resources are our OData Apis, However, OData call for now, only support authenticating with organizational account. On sign-in event for a CDF project, with organizational account, an app called App Service (a Microsoft 1st Party app) is trying to access a resource - Cognitedata API: westeurope-1 - by specifying one of its identifiers as part of the sign-in request: login.microsoftonline
