Hi @Elka Sierra,Thanks for your reply! You are right about the $filter parameter. If I recall correctly, this option wasn’t available when I originally submitted the feature request. I am glad that we do have the capability to specify the filter parameters now. Having said the above, I would like to retract my feature request. I appreciate your help with this matter. Regards,Dinesh
@Harsha I would like to understand how you are thinking about utilizing this enhancement. As far as I know, the Transaction Codes are mainly for interacting with SAP using the SAP GUI. Thanks,Dinesh
@Har
Roman has provided the solution for continuing stream of data from PI (no delay option). My solution is for the “delay” scenario where there is no continuous streaming of data into CDF. In our use-case, the timeseries data was stored in the Oracle database. We used the DB Extractor to set up the Data Pipeline. The extractor was set up in such a way that it extracts data incrementally. We are running the extractor every 10 minutes which provides the near real-time streaming of data. You can find the documentation for the extractor at About the Cognite DB extractor | Cognite Documentation. In the configuration section (Configuration settings | Cognite Documentation), you can find instructions about how to set up the incremental extract. The last note, we are running the extractor using the Windows Scheduler.Please let me know if any additional questions.Thanks,Dinesh
Sounds good. Thanks for your reply!
Where can I find information about the “automatic document classifier for P&ID”? I would like to know how to use this functionality. Thanks,Dinesh
@Raluca Bala I want to make sure that you saw my message. My concern is that you are missing the fundamental understanding of Cognite Functions and I would like to fill the gap. If you would like to chat more about it, please let me know and we can get in a meeting.ThanksDinesh
There is no spreadsheet extractor. One of the possible options is to upload the Excel files into CDF using the File Extractor. Then, you could use a Cognite Function to write data to the appropriate destination. Since the Cognite Function is based on Python, you could pretty much do anything for the data wrangling. If you want to chat more about it, please let me know.
Please try launching the browser in incognito mode.
You have solved the problem but it is not the best approach. You don’t need to neither instantiate the client not use the config or env file. Based on the error “client is not defined”, I am thinking that you are not passing the “client” as the first argument for the function hence the error.You should have two parameters for you function.client data The client parameter automatically gets passed to the function by the wrapper program and you don’t need to do anything except use it inside your function. The second parameter is used to pass other function-specific parameters. Please let me know if this resolves the issue otherwise I can provide further guidance. ThxDinesh
Hi @Anita Hæhre, My apologies for the delay. Here are some use-cases supporting the enhancement request.Jump to the external Power BI dashboard from an asset record in CDF and open information for the given asset. To achieve this goal, we will create a Metadata field for the Asset containing the value of the URL for the dashboard. The URL is constructed dynamically to include Asset ID as the URL parameter. An example of the URL is https://xxxx799.acme.com/Reports/powerbi/Asset Portal?filter=Assets/id eq 9999922243 Store URLs for the externally stored documents on Document Management System. Store URLs for external systems to directly launch the external system and open the record for the specified asset. Please let me know if this answers your queries. If you need more details, please let me know and we can get on the phone.Thanks,Dinesh cc: @Torgrim Aas
