Closing this issue as integration with ChatGPT is not something we are prioritizing. We are building exciting features on top of Azure OpenAI and other LLM services, both in our UIs and through our API services.
After some consideration we have decided to leave the default set of packages as is for now to keep boot-up time to a minimum. We might add additional default packages in the future, though. Thank you for your input :)
Hi Anders and thank you for reaching out. We have been discussing this and will take the request into consideration. Note that we are adding support for exporting and importing applications to/from local storage in the upcoming release that will make it a bit easier to work with the applications outside Cognite Data Fusion.
Thank you for the insights @Kristian Nymoen, that is very helpful.
Hi Kristian and thank you for reaching out. Although not a direct solution, we are working on the ability to create a Jupyter Notebook from a chart. This will enable Python users to analyze data by writing code to do so, or by displaying the raw, underlying values. Does this help in your case?
Thank you for the proposal. We will take it into consideration.
Thank you. The search functionality is for filtering the columns. We will consider the need for improved search within data as well.
Hi and thank you for reaching out. Although not a direct solution, it should be fairly simple to write a Jupyter Notebook that does this. I urge you to see if you are able to do this from Jupyter (available under Data Management → Explore → Jupyter Notebooks). We’ll consider the need for this in the UI as well.
Hi and thank you for reaching out. Those are all good suggestions. Although we have no fixes for those particular issues, note that we are adding a feature that allows you to generate a Jupyter Notebook based from a RAW table that allows you to work with the data in code to do analysis. This feature will be available in the March release (due 5th of March). Also, note that we do provide ways of working with RAW data in SQL. From the Transform data UI (available in Cognite Data Fusion under Data Management → Transform data) you can work with the data in SQL.Hope this helps!
Hi Bruno. Thank you for brining this to our attention. We will discuss it internally and consider it for implementation.Lars
Hi Bruno. Thank you very much for this proposal for improvement. We will consider it for implementation in Infield. Lars
I do not know the full details of the problem, but to me it sounds like a good approach would be to use Data models to store the data and import data from these models into your Streamlit app. Extracting data directly from RAW is also an option, but we recommend using Data models for other purposes than data onboarding.
Hi @ibrahim.alsyed. Forgot to follow up here, but wanted to inform you that saving notebooks to CDF and sharing with you colleagues in Jupyter now is available.
Hi Ibrahim,Saving notebooks in CDF is current undergoing testing and should be released soon. Streamlit will hopefully reach public beta by end of year.
This has not been fixed yet @Carin Meems.
Thanks for reporting this, our team will have a look.
Hi Kristian and sorry for the wait. Yes, its possible to assign a 3D model to a data set. This is only possible through the APIs currently, please see https://api-docs.cognite.com/20230101/tag/3D-Models/operation/update3DModels/
Hi Willem and thank you for your suggestion. There is a tradeoff between having a default set of packages and boot-up time, and for now we will be careful about adding new packages. We might think more through this decision in the future and add a set of default packages for convenience.
Hi Ibrahim. We realize this is inconvenient, and we are planning to implement this as we transition this from preview to general availability. Please note that saving “notebooks” to CDF and sharing with colleagues is available in Streamlit in Fusion.

Thanks for reaching out Abram! We are currently looking into this and hope to provide a steady flow of functionality in this space over the coming months.
@Andreea Pastinaru has taken over ownership over this component - can you provide an update?
Thank you, I will make note of those use cases and include it in planning around these features going forward.
